NFL 2022 Weekly Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 3
Waiver Wire Ranks
Week 2 is in the books and there are more injuries to navigate for the waiver wire. Injuries aren’t the only reason to head to the waiver wire. There were several players that flashed this last week need to be on your radar if not on your roster. Let’s take a look at what the fantasy football waiver wire has to offer.
Waiver Wire Running Backs
Raheem Mostert showed well in the Week 2 comeback win. Mostert is a start at your own risk, the Miami backfield is crowded and the usage of these running backs will likely devolve into the running back with the hot hand that week. Proceed with caution.
Stash candidate. Brian Robinson Jr. is still out. Reports beginning to hint at a return as early as week 5. Gibson looked good in Week 1. Robinson could be worth a look at for a stash for the back half.
Mason is a sneaky pick up in deep leagues. With Tyrion Davis-Price going to missing time Mason presumably become the back up to Jeff Wilson Jr. This is a stash play
Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
Wilson was high on this waiver wire list last week and continues to be. Wilson needs to be added if nothing else as a stash. Garrett Wilson certainly popped in Week 2 with his 2 TDs, but the thing that is drawing my attention is that 22% target share the young receiver has received over the first 2 weeks.
Jahan Dotson continues to impress. He picked up another TD in Week 2. Dotson and Wentz appear to have some rapport and Wentz is willing to throw the ball down the field to Dotson who has over 14 yards per reception this young season. The target share is concerning with Dotson him only seeing 5 targets each of the last 2 weeks. Dotson is worth a stash as the season continues and he has touchdown upside week to week it seems.
Jakobi Meyers has good chemistry with Mac Jones and he is willing to heavily target Meyers. We have seen limited TD upside with Meyer that last two seasons but he can get you volume and opportunity giving him flex appeal as a floor play.
This is 2 weeks in a row that Brown has led the Cowboys in receiving yards. The Dakless Cowboys passing attack may not be the flashy pick, but there is fantasy value in the receiver that leads their team in receiving targets each of the first 2 weeks of the season
Treylon Burks has gone over his receiving prop totals each of the first 2 weeks of the the 2022 season. This Titan’s offense appears to have issues getting the run game and Derrick Henry going over the first 2 weeks. Burks is an intriguing play if the Titans can find their power run game and set up play action pass.
MVS is an interesting play as part of the Chiefs offense. MVS will be a boom bust potential each week as the Chiefs and Mahomes spread the ball around week to week.
Russell Gage could be a very interesting play this week and may need to be in lineups this week with the issues in the Tampa Bay wide receiver room. We will need to keep an eye on Godwin and Jones this week and practice reports to see their injury status heading into the weekend and Evans is currently suspended for week 3. Gage could be in for a big game this week. Keep an eye on Gage and the reports coming out of Tampa Bay this week.
Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
Matt Ryan and the Colts had a poor performance in Week 2 against the Jaguars. Look for Ryan to bounce back especially if Pittman is ready and able to go in Week 3.
Jared Goff played a good game against the Commanders. Commanders have been punished this year on the fantasy defensive side of the ball. Goff get the divisional opponent Vikings in Week 3 that just got gassed by Hurts and the Eagles.
Waiver Wire Tight End – Streaming Candidate
Conklin was second on the Jets in targets in week 2. Conklin is the security blanket for check down happy Flacco. It is looking like Flacco will be the starter in Week 3 for the Jets. Looking to start Conklin as the TE stream of the week who can provide good points even if he doesn’t get into the end zone.
